Aglaomorpha - Species

Galley shows only pictures of our members achievements, small and large!

Coronans

The coronans is in a number of our members collections, growing outdoors in the San Diego climate quite well. A sizeable epiphyte fern when mature reaching 6 feet across in its radial span. This fern is a relatively hardy fern to grow, well suited to hanging baskets and tree mounts.

Heraclea

A giant epiphytic tropical fern found in a few of our members collections, needing additional warmth through the San Diego cooler seasons to match its original climate in Java, Papua New Guinea and Philippines. Rhizomes can be extremely thick (adult wrist) covered in a thick jacket of hairs. Fronds are documented measuring 9 feet in length with widths of 26 inches.
